About the Role:

Pennsylvania Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Chief Operating Officer to lead the Regional Practices operations. This is a critical role that will be responsible for driving the operational, financial, and patient safety objectives of the Regional Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead and manage a team of Regional Directors of Operations, Practice Managers, and other key staff members to ensure effective practice operations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Pennsylvania Medicine to strengthen the effectiveness of clinical operations and ensure alignment with health system policy and procedure.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and other business metrics to ensure effective financial management.
  • Implement patient access initiatives and ensure consistency with health system standards.
  • Assemble, interpret, and use data to make informed decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to develop and define sustaining staffing models that are consistent with ambulatory operations expectations.
  • Ensure consistency with key elements of practice management operations across all locations, including exam room utilization, Medical Assistant practices, Scope of Practice initiatives, analysis of clinical capacity, clinic wait time, and establishment of telehealth initiatives.
  • Serve as the point of clinical operations integration for the region's primary care and specialty services, ensuring alignment, sharing of best practices, and management of variations across locations.
  • Address barriers to delivery of care, including staffing, equipment, and facilities, and ensure that care delivery is consistent with policies and clinical quality standards, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (required).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory or hospital operations (required).
  • Master's degree in a related field (desired).
  • MBA or MHA (desired).
