Position Overview:

The Global Product Manager for the Upstream Endo Bariatrics division is responsible for steering the franchise strategy. This role is pivotal in establishing the vision and strategic direction based on in-depth market analysis, competitive landscape, and global clinical insights. The Product Manager will autonomously oversee market evaluations, financial analyses, and product development, while partnering with regional teams to craft strategies that ensure long-term success. This individual should possess extensive marketing experience and demonstrate proficiency in franchise management, operating with minimal oversight to develop and implement essential strategies for the franchise. Advocacy for the franchise is crucial to secure ongoing business investment aimed at achieving growth and profitability targets.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and sustain business plans to ensure precise planning and adaptability to evolving market needs.
  • Identify new market opportunities and define potential avenues for growth.
  • Contribute to product design, collaborating with R&D to facilitate the TDP/PDP processes, and work closely with teams to execute launch and commercialization strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Engage in franchise market analysis processes.
  • Utilize customer segmentation and product positioning frameworks to create and execute effective messaging, marketing strategies, and channel management. Foster relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of global downstream marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Assist in the identification of new products and contribute to the development of proposals, strategies, and messaging within the portfolio, while addressing competitive challenges.
  • Leverage BSC systems and processes for product development and management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key cross-functional teams and domestic sales personnel.
  • Commit to patient safety and product quality, adhering to all regulatory standards governing quality systems.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities and markets for exploration, including competitor analysis and strategic direction reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, engineering, or healthcare
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% (primarily within the US, with some international travel as needed)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience in the medical device industry or consulting
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and key stakeholders through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, creating impactful presentations.
  • Experience engaging with top global KOLs in clinical discussions
