Job Title: Executive Specialty Sales Consultant

At Bayer, we are seeking an experienced Executive Specialty Sales Consultant to join our team in New Orleans, LA. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for building and developing professional relationships with cardiology and pulmonology customers, driving the utilization of approved pulmonary arterial hypertensive and cardiovascular renal products, and working closely with other Bayer commercial associates to generate pull-through within local payers, community HCPs, and specialty pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective customer-specific territory plans to meet the needs of assigned customers.
  • Provide relevant input to commercial colleagues on strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region.
  • Anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges, leveraging expertise and knowledge of PAH, diabetes, CVD, the marketplace, and applicable competitors.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand fully the assigned customers' product and business needs and work to meet those needs while adhering to all of Bayer company ethics and compliance standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is required.
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Valid Driver's License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree a plus.
  • 7 plus years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Orphan disease or specialty cardiovascular experience.
  • Experience in the promotion of pulmonary arterial hypertension and cardiovascular pharmaceuticals.
  • Product/new indication launch experience.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual Selling Experience.
  • Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.
