Job Title: Mental Health Specialist II

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist II to join our team at the Norfolk Regional Center. As a Mental Health Specialist II, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of patients with mental illnesses and personality disorders.

About the Role:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Provide direct care services, including therapeutic interactions, facilitation of psycho-educational group activities, and documentation of patient behaviors.
  • Escort and supervise patients throughout the facility to promote patient personal development.
Requirements:
  • Be at least 19 years of age to work with adult client populations.
  • Have one or more years of education or experience in human services or stable experience in customer service or military service.
  • Experience with behavioral interventional programs, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
