Job Summary

EMPI Inc is seeking a highly skilled E-Catalog and Market Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and owning the e-catalog process. This includes researching, collecting, and publishing product information, as well as conducting competitive product pricing analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage catalog requests, capturing requirements for content and timing
  • Develop and maintain catalog infrastructure to ensure systems and processes are best-in-class
  • Troubleshoot catalog application, product database, and interchangeability issues
  • Develop and implement processes to advance the continual improvement and accuracy of product fitment data and attributes
  • Be the internal owner and authority on the network of external resources for application and product attributes
  • Maintain consistency standards for cataloged product data and content across all output mediums
  • Analyze brand performance, price, product competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace
  • Develop short and mid-term strategies for assigned products based on research and analysis
  • Meet regularly with customers and suppliers to improve sales growth, profitability, market share, and program quality
  • Work within cross-functional teams to utilize content-rich item information
  • Assist with developing sales and marketing materials
  • May source and defer alternate supplier options to Executive Management, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing
  • Completes special projects as directed by department management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Aftermarket e-catalog arena
  • Air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche parts knowledge is required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the VW aftermarket parts arena
  • Experience: 3-5 years of product catalog experience is required
  • ACES and PIES/PILS environment-related experience is required
  • Knowledgeable in market-based pricing and competitive pricing analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, and cloud-based ERP systems
  • Knowledge & experience with various e-catalog vcdb, pcdb ACES/PIES formatting is a must
  • Ability to work cooperatively within cross-functional teams
  • Thoroughness and high attention to detail with strong technical acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting where applicable
  • Manage the process of regular price list adjustments, as needed to maintain organizational goals
