Job Title: E-Catalog and Market Pricing Specialist

EMPI Inc is seeking a highly skilled E-Catalog and Market Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and owning the e-catalog process within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage catalog requests, capturing requirements for content and timing, and aligning resources to deliver catalogs in the timeframe and format requested.
  • Develop and maintain catalog infrastructure to ensure systems and processes are best-in-class to deliver market-relevant, accurate application and item attribute information.
  • Troubleshoot catalog application, product database, and interchangeability issues.
  • Develop and implement processes to advance the continual improvement and accuracy of product fitment data and attributes.
  • Be the internal owner and authority on the network of external resources for application and product attributes, including ACES/PIES application/fitment data.
  • Maintain consistency standards for cataloged product data and content across all output mediums (websites, printed catalogs, etc.).
  • Analyze brand performance, price, product competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace and develop short and mid-term strategies for assigned products based on this research and analysis.
  • Meet regularly with customers and suppliers to improve sales growth, profitability, market share, and program quality.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to utilize content-rich item information, including product descriptions, features and benefits, images, catalog classifications, competitive product interchanges, and other product attributes.
  • Assist with developing sales and marketing materials such as website copy, product flyers, packaging, sales promotions, programs, etc.
  • May source and defer alternate supplier options to Executive Management, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing.
  • Complete special projects as directed by department management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Aftermarket e-catalog arena.
  • Air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche parts knowledge is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the VW aftermarket parts arena.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of product catalog experience is required.
  • ACES and PIES/PILS environment-related experience is required.
  • Knowledgeable in market-based pricing and competitive pricing analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, and cloud-based ERP systems (Oracle, Business Central, etc.).
  • Knowledge & experience with various e-catalog vcdb, pcdb ACES/PIES formatting is a must.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within cross-functional teams.
  • Thoroughness and high attention to detail with strong technical acumen.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting where applicable.
  • Manage the process of regular price list adjustments, as needed to maintain organizational goals.
