We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Support the final assembly of major end items and drive continuous improvement through projects aimed at improving cycle time, reducing ergonomic risk, and automating processes.
- Develop, maintain, and review manufacturing data packages, including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool and fixture designs.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design teams to implement robust processes for continuous improvement.
- Make recommendations concerning the acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials to support renewed manufacturing capability.
- Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products and advise modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints.
- Implement a system to proactively manage equipment failures and leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of products.
- Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, both in-house and in the supply base as needed.
- Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant work experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
- Active DoD security clearance preferred.
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools.
- Experience with military and industry standards, conducting safety/ergonomic assessments, and familiarity with standard material handling practices.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.) and proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with an ability to work in a team environment and with minimal direct supervision.
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines and an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
- Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

We offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
