Job Overview

SUMMARY:
Assists legal professionals by gathering, analyzing, and organizing essential information; drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery summaries, motions, and various other paperwork.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborates effectively with attorneys and support personnel in the preparation of legal documents and transaction processing.
  • Conducts client interviews and locates expert witnesses for testimony.
  • Prepares legal documentation such as discovery motions, summary judgment motions, appellate briefs, affidavits, memoranda, and correspondence.
  • Investigates factual details to respond to litigation discovery requests and other inquiries.
  • Performs comprehensive legal research and analysis, utilizing both manual methods and computer resources; compiles, analyzes, and summarizes relevant data.
  • Manages case files and documentation; organizes and maintains records systematically.
  • Conducts factual and technical investigations related to case issues.
  • Supports all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial processes.
  • Prepares for and participates in trial proceedings.
  • Creates jury instructions and trial binders; coordinates trial exhibits efficiently.
  • Monitors legal expenses, budgets, and project timelines.
  • Provides logistical support and aids in the maintenance of legal files.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of office systems and procedures as required.
  • Engages in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two to three years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal training program or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong research capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in grammar and spelling.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, G-Suites, and Clio (preferred).
  • Commitment to high standards and excellence.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; adept at managing priorities and workflow.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective in dealing with a diverse range of individuals at all organizational levels.
