Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining an electronic filing system for ease of access to case documents.
  • Help attorneys with document review and organization for litigation, including reviewing large volumes of discovery materials.
  • Provide clients with updates and information about legal proceedings, deadlines, and next steps in a compassionate manner.
  • Coordinate trial preparation, including creating exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Assist in gathering data and testimonials for public campaigns or advocacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with non-profit organizations or community groups involved in social justice efforts.
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse and often vulnerable clients.
  • Knowledge of social justice issues and a passion for advocacy.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
