Job Overview:

Under guidance, conducts assessments and interventions for communication impairments. Ensures adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assesses and addresses communication and swallowing challenges for both adult and pediatric patients. Conducts diagnostic evaluations and implements tailored treatment plans.
  • Consults with physicians and patients regarding disorders and formulates treatment timelines. Guarantees compliance with relevant regulations. Develops and upholds departmental policies and procedures. Identifies potential for new or improved services or patient care levels.
  • Kaiser Permanente routinely reviews compensation for positions. The organization reserves the right to reassess and modify job descriptions or alter positions from salaried to hourly status, with appropriate notice to affected staff.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience
  • Completion of a Speech Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Internship is required upon hire.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required upon hire.
License, Certification, Registration
  • California Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire
Additional Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to work within a Labor/Management Partnership framework.
