Position Overview
The Client Relationship Banker plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional financial guidance and support to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of service. In this position, you will handle all retail banking transactions and promote bank products and services to strengthen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by embodying our service and sales-oriented culture.
- Assess and identify customer financial needs, presenting suitable products and services.
- Facilitate the opening of new accounts and related services (e.g., debit cards, direct deposits).
- Process various financial transactions (e.g., cash/check deposits, withdrawals).
- Engage in branch activities and events organized by management.
- Focus on achieving both individual and team performance goals.
- Identify customer needs and effectively cross-sell bank products and services.
- Perform all teller duties, including cash management.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures during account processing.
- Manage activities related to IRAs and other account services.
- Process incoming mail transactions and night depository deposits according to established protocols.
- Educate customers on self-service options confidently.
Additional Duties:
- Maintain open communication with branch management.
- Address inquiries related to bank products, services, and policies.
- Support daily ITM/ATM operations, ensuring they are well-stocked and functional.
- Uphold customer confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- Promote a secure environment for all employees and customers by adhering to the Security Program.
- Prepare necessary documentation for special services like ACH transactions and wire transfers.
- Stay updated on and implement all bank policies, including the Code of Conduct.
- Assist customers with safe deposit box access, following all protocols.
- Support branch management with audits, reconciliations, and other assigned tasks.
- Participate in business development initiatives as needed.
- Assist in various areas of the bank/branch as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of banking or retail experience focused on sales and customer service, or a college degree with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Exceptional customer service, sales, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a positive and customer-centric attitude.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to different branch locations as needed.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
