Electrical and Software Expert for Nuclear Equipment

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Software Expert to join our team at Konecranes. This role will involve working with overhead cranes and hoists in the Nuclear Equipment and Services business, completing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) coupled with final commissioning.
Responsibilities- As a senior electrical/software engineer, you will be responsible for reading and designing electrical schematics, using AutoCAD Electrical, performing electrical calculations, programming PLCs using ladder logic, and designing HMI applications.
- You will also be responsible for performing field startups and testing, working in industrial environments, and having detailed knowledge of electric motor controls, utility circuits, safety circuits, and operator controls related to overhead cranes and hoists.
- In addition, you will troubleshoot and resolve problems, including circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, A.C./D.C. inverters, braking resistors, etc.
- A 4-year Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE, BSEET) or equivalent is required.
- Preferred experience includes 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience in doing field startups, wiring, PLC and HMI programming, and experience in setting up variable frequency drives.
- Knowledgeable with using and applying the NEC electrical code.
- Ability to lead and work with others to maximize their productivity and customer focus.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally to nuclear and government facilities.

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
