Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for all mechanical and structural design activities necessary to support the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes for Region Americas.

You will interpret order documentation, including detailed customer specifications, to determine the scope of work and project plan. Your expertise in reading legacy equipment mechanical and structural drawings will be crucial in searching company archives to find records of legacy equipment.

You will perform engineering tasks using established procedures, create equipment layouts, undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs, and generate final mechanical and structural designs. You will also create detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment preferred.
  • A PE license or the ability to obtain licensure is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office is required.
