Job Overview

Konecranes is a world-leading group of Lifting Businesses, serving a broad range of customers across multiple industries. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Electrical Engineering Lead for Nuclear Projects.

This role will focus on leading electrical engineering efforts for nuclear projects, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in field startups, wiring, PLC and HMI programming, and variable frequency drives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering efforts for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Develop and implement electrical systems for overhead cranes and hoists, including single line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, interconnect, and conduit drawings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and installation site supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, A.C./D.C. inverters, braking resistors, etc.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs using Rockwell and Siemens software, and design HMI applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on nuclear projects.
  • Experience with Rockwell PLC/HMI, Siemens PLC/HMI, Magnetek VFDs, Siemens VFDs programming.
  • Knowledgeable with NEC electrical code and able to lead and work with others to maximize productivity.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience.
