Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical/Software Engineer to join our Nuclear Equipment team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and software systems for overhead cranes and hoists used in nuclear applications.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electrical and software systems for overhead cranes and hoists, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, purchasing, and installation site supervisors, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve the efficiency and safety of our equipment, including the use of PLCs, HMI programs, and variable frequency drives.
  • Provide training and technical support to other engineers, technicians, and craft workers as needed.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures to ensure that equipment meets customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities, test results, and technical documentation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including field startups, wiring, PLC programming, and HMI development.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, such as NEC, and experience with design software like AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 40% of the time, for periods of 1-2 months at a time.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
