Mail and File Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mail and File Clerk to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Mail and File Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks related to the receipt, intake, indexing, and transfer of health and administrative information.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to members by filing health information requests, requesting private and other medical records, and performing other special projects as assigned.
- Scan received records and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Protect sensitive data under the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974.
- Perform follow-up activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-03 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
The work is mostly sedentary, however, some bending, stretching, walking, and lifting are required.
