Position Overview

This role is crucial for the maintenance and support of diagnostic imaging systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs on intricate diagnostic and therapeutic imaging apparatus using established electronic testing tools and methodologies.
  • Installs, calibrates, and evaluates advanced imaging systems.
  • Performs routine service on imaging equipment, adhering to corporate protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with clinical personnel to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to imaging staff regarding the use of complex diagnostic devices.
  • Serves as a resource for Biomedical and Imaging Technicians, fostering their professional development.
  • Documents and maintains precise records of inspections, repairs, and adjustments performed on imaging equipment.
  • Assists in the installation of new imaging technology and trains staff on safe operational practices.
  • Coordinates with radiation physicists for quality assurance testing and compliance with health department regulations.
  • Participates in the evaluation and selection of new imaging equipment, including site assessments and manufacturer discussions.
  • Manages the procurement of necessary repair parts in accordance with established procedures.
  • Escalates complex issues to appropriate personnel and contributes to the development of maintenance policies.
Qualifications

Licensure and Certification:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in biomedical imaging, including digital imaging and networking technologies.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, lift, bend, and reach.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Work may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and various hazards; protective gear is necessary.
