Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technician II to join our team at Advocate Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiodiagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate results, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform non-invasive cardiodiagnostic procedures, including EKGs and holter monitors
  • Ensure timely response to code blues, red traumas, and STAT EKGs
  • Maintain departmental logs, equipment, records, and exam rooms
  • Provide updated documentation and logs for Quality Assurance/Process Improvement
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • Three (3) years experience in special non-invasive cardiology procedures
  • Ability to perform blood pressure readings, identify cardiac arrhythmias, and do electrocardiographic recording
  • Registered or Certified status within one year of employment
  • CPR certification
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work on a 7-day per week rotational schedule and make independent decisions in emergency situations. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance is also required.

Additional Information:

The EKG Tech II must exhibit a high degree of Cardiac Arrhythmia knowledge and skills related to cardiac procedures. Ability to work independently and make decisions to provide physicians with diagnostic scans is essential. Prior experience with various age groups is preferred.
