As a key player, you will conduct evaluations, ensure compliance, and validate IT systems to bolster the Cybersecurity initiatives at various commands and deployed units. Your responsibilities will encompass a thorough assessment of customer networks to guarantee adherence to security regulations and standards. Key responsibilities include:

- Timely application of software updates and maintenance patches.

- Conducting security assessments and inspections.

- Performing validation scans and remediation efforts.

- Reviewing security assessments and inspections.

- Validating various capability packages and supporting emerging technologies.

- Providing on-site assistance for Cybersecurity evaluations and compliance checks.

- Assessing the security posture of various commands and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

- Identifying prevalent security risks through analysis and developing metrics and trends.

- Validating system patching and conducting validation scans using established tools.

- Assisting commands with vulnerability management programs.

- Tracking and reporting compliance status to higher authorities.

- Maintaining documentation of compliance with federal regulations and directives.

- Developing and tracking Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for addressing vulnerabilities.

- Reviewing security plans and recommending measures to protect sensitive information.

- Ensuring compliance with physical security controls for access to systems and networks.

- Executing vulnerability management programs and tracking compliance with alerts and bulletins.

- Conducting self-inspection programs and reporting on compliance.

- Performing network and system security reviews.

- Analyzing trends from Cybersecurity assessments and providing recommendations for improvement.

- Offering expertise in developing and implementing Cybersecurity strategies.

- Establishing processes and procedures to mitigate vulnerabilities in software and hardware.

- Responding to Cybersecurity inquiries from external organizations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in a computer or systems science discipline with three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Familiarity with US Combatant Commands is preferred.

- DOD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification is mandatory.

- Proficient understanding of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

- Knowledge of DOD Information Assurance processes and policies is required.

- An active TS/SCI clearance is necessary.

Work Environment:

Work will be conducted in a standard office environment. Some travel may be required based on client needs. Attendance at off-site meetings may also be necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Position involves sitting at a desk, using a phone, and operating a PC or laptop. May require lifting and carrying supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while using a computer or phone are expected.

Equipment and Machines:

General office equipment, including telephones, copiers, and PCs/laptops. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Attendance:

Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is essential. Work assignments will depend on client requirements, necessitating the ability to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days a week.

Other Essential Functions:

Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork is expected. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are crucial. Effective communication with individuals at all organizational levels is necessary. Business casual attire is typically expected, but may vary based on client standards. Safety considerations must be adhered to in the workplace.

This position requires a US government security clearance. Candidates with dual citizenship should be aware that relinquishing one citizenship may be necessary to obtain clearance.
