Job Summary

Assist customers with all types of account transactions, including teller transactions, and advise them on company products and services to meet their personal financial goals. Process financial transactions accurately and provide effective assistance to customers and Bank associates, ensuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform teller transactions as defined by the Bank, balancing cashboxes daily to ensure accuracy and notifying supervisors of any discrepancies.
  • Participate in the rotation of vault duties, including daily balancing of the vault when used.
  • Assist customers with opening retail accounts and safe deposit boxes, performing maintenance on existing accounts, and cross-selling additional services or programs.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve external and internal customer inquiries as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, verify caller identity, and minimize caller time and effort in resolving concerns.
  • Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed and provide support for department and branch management in fulfilling customer requests.
  • Perform branch opening and closing duties as assigned and other duties as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one to three years of customer service or related experience, including preparatory experience, with cash handling experience preferred.
  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job, requiring personal contact with others to give or obtain information, update or refer, which typically require short discussions.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, explain products and services, and accurately answer customer questions.
