Logistics Operations Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is in search of a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to become a part of a prominent national transportation organization. The ideal candidate will oversee, coordinate, and implement operations occurring within the distribution center or warehouse. Professionals in field operations are essential in supervising and ensuring the seamless execution of various activities and projects, adhering to company regulations, and guaranteeing exceptional customer service.

SALARY: Competitive hourly rate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
With an emphasis on quality and efficiency, perform one or more of the following tasks in accordance with office and company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs):

  • Provide shipment details, create orders, activate shipments, build loads, assign loads, schedule appointments, track and trace shipments, and manage invoicing.
  • Monitor task boards and designated email accounts to address customer and carrier inquiries.
  • Document events utilizing knowledge acquired through SOPs and experience, and follow defined escalation procedures and training when necessary.
  • Ensure customer or carrier requests are followed through to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Escalate inquiries or requests as needed.
  • Validate and confirm the accuracy of load data in systems in accordance with company and customer standards.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned based on team and/or country-specific requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience in a Supply Chain Logistics environment.
  • Experience in Transportation, Supply Chain & Logistics.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous customer service experience in a call center or similar setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in prioritization and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective phone etiquette and usage skills.
  • Prior work experience requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
