Job Summary

We're seeking a talented Data Scientist Intern to join our team and help us drive business impact through data-driven insights. As a Data Scientist Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with senior leadership, and develop your skills in data engineering, modeling, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Generative AI tools to refactor and convert existing R scripts into Python
  • Help implement technology transition by transitioning our codebase from R to Python to enhance performance, maintainability, and integration with modern data science tools
  • Evaluate and measure critical business impacts such as time savings, staffing impacts, and quality and accuracy
  • Present key findings and actionable insights to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Skilled in R or Python and SQL
  • GitHub exposure
  • Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) expertise
  • Date engineering/modeling knowledge
  • Forecasting/Predictive Modeling exposure
