Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse Intern at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will provide technical assistance under the direction of a registered nurse to achieve quality patient outcomes. This role involves performing service functions and communication to staff, patients, and guests, as well as participating in activities designed to improve healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Collect patient data.
  • Perform technical skills under the direction of the registered nurse.
  • Contribute to the development of a plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Implement the plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Provide patient care and assistance to nursing staff as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing educational activities.
  • Complete assigned goals.
Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Meets or exceeds all academic requirements.
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an approved licensed practical nursing program and completed a minimum of 3 months.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
  • Computer literacy.
