Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our team at Adapt Forward. As a Financial Analyst II, you will play a critical role in identifying financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide expert advice and technical assistance in financial planning and analysis, including the preparation of annual budgets, measuring organizational performance, and assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
  • Financial Review and Analysis: Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  • Financial Research and Development: Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending.
  • Policy Development: Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
  • Training and Development: May conduct training sessions for company personnel regarding new budget procedures.
  • Financial Coordination: Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Manage finances across multiple funding types.
  • Financial Reporting: Track budgets, costs, and variances. Produce executive summaries.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
  • Course of Action Development: Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  • Financial Management Principles: Provide interpret and apply financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
  • Financial Research Methods: Research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of financial/analytical software (spreadsheets).

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship: US Citizen
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department

Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial Analysis Skills: Ability to independently and rapidly analyze complex financial data
  • Industry Experience: Experience working with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model
  • DoD Experience: Two (2) years of work experience within DoD
