Job Overview

Position Title: Compensation Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

The Global Compensation team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive compensation solutions for U.S. Foreign Service personnel, Department of State Civil Service employees, and Locally Employed staff. This role is integral to managing payroll services for U.S. Agencies operating internationally and administering annuity services for Foreign Service retirees. With operations spanning numerous countries and currencies, the team ensures efficient payroll processing and support.

Core Duties Include:

  • Accurate processing of Time and Attendance (T&A) reports, ensuring compliance with established payroll protocols.
  • Conducting thorough analysis and processing of payroll actions, including adjustments, awards, and leave management.
  • Monitoring payroll discrepancies and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Providing guidance and clarification to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Performing audits and reconciliations of payroll accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Generating detailed reports on payroll metrics and activities as requested.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial software applications, particularly in spreadsheet and database management.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in financial systems analysis and support.
  • Knowledge of federal financial management policies and practices is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities. Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet organizational needs.
