As a Pharmacy Technician at Wegmans, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and building trust with our customers. You will be instrumental in providing the best-in-class service that sets us apart and ensures that customers receive the medical attention, care, and health services they rely on us for.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Process prescription requests while establishing strong customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion.
- Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers.
- Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information.
- E nsure the department runs smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies.
- Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Computer skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
- State-specific requirements may include Pharmacy Technician certification
- New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience ordering products and controlling inventory
- Pharmacy Technician experience
- Pharmacy Technician – Certification
Estimated Salary Range:$45,000 - $65,000 per year
