Job Summary

About the Role

This part-time position requires a 40-hour bi-weekly commitment, with rotating shifts, including every other weekend and holidays as required. You will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in providing timely, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, refilling patient medication bins, and updating labeling
  • Deliver and exchange 24-hour cart fills to nursing units, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Manage automated dispensing cabinet inventory, selecting and loading medications as needed
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of medications, adhering to federal regulations and guidelines
  • Prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques and following established processes
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required, unless enrolled in a PharmD program
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand provider medication orders
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
