About the Role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team as a Home Health Care Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide rehabilitative care and skilled nursing services to clients in their homes throughout Alexandria/Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluations, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
  • Continuously assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, and participate with BAYADA clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided.
Requirements
  • A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in VA.
  • Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or have equivalent educational requirements and work experience.
  • Solid computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) are preferred.
