Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our therapy team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' communication skills and functional abilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify patients' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Experience in speech therapy is preferred but not required.
