Key Responsibilities:


The Nutritional Support Specialist is tasked with assisting in the daily operations of the Dietary Department while ensuring a clean and safe environment for all resident meals, adhering to facility standards and regulatory requirements.

- Preparing and portioning food items to enhance the quality of life for all residents

- Setting up meal trays and delivering meals

- Assisting with inventory management on delivery days

- Cleaning and storing all kitchenware, including pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the work area

- Upholding the confidentiality of all residents and their care to protect their rights and privacy

- Ensuring that dietary workspaces are kept clean and sanitary

- Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Nutritional Support Specialist role, candidates should possess:

- A solid understanding of safe dietary practices and experience with the geriatric population

- A commitment to working in the best interest of residents and the facility

- The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and engage with other departments

- A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory

- Previous experience in a dietary setting is advantageous.
