We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in office procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with medical procedures, including phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Valid Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized board, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Health Career Association (NHA).
  • One year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or physician's office, with a focus on venipuncture and laboratory testing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
