Job Description Summary

This Equipment Maintenance Director role is responsible for managing a team of mechanics who maintain a large inventory of yellow iron equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong understanding of heavy machinery operations and maintenance practices.

The position requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to achieve cost-effective solutions. A strong background in waste management or a related field is highly desirable.

The salary for this position is approximately $90,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities up to 10%. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term & short term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement, and equity opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
  • Supervise a team of mechanics and ensure they receive adequate training.
  • Manage the department's budget and ensure costs are controlled.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
