Your Role:

As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for driving new and incremental sales in the national Special Events sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of National Sales to secure new sales opportunities.
  • Generate national leads through proactive outreach, including cold calls and market research targeting corporations, DMCs, incentive houses, travel companies, meeting planners, associations, and non-profits.
  • Actively pursue new business prospects through sales calls and in-person presentations.
  • Identify and engage key clients to establish master agreements, discount programs, and preferred status, while managing account activities.
  • Serve as the liaison between national sales clients and venue sales teams to address national account requirements.
  • Confirm availability for new opportunities, negotiate contract terms, and finalize agreements.
  • Respond to initial inquiries promptly, within 24 hours.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for all national clients using our systems.
  • Develop expertise in our various operational systems.
  • Represent the organization at industry-related events and associations.
  • Assist in creating national sales materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Support participation in industry trade shows and events.
  • Ensure timely completion and distribution of all required reports for effective planning.
  • Understand the responsibilities and capabilities of all operational departments to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Fulfill expectations outlined in strategic sales plans and reports.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as detailed in the Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Special Events sales sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service standards and guest relations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills, financial understanding, and team-building abilities.
  • Proficient in delegating tasks and maintaining positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Familiarity with local and regional markets, computer systems, and excellent client management.
  • A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Flexible scheduling, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with significant noise and interruptions.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
