Aircraft Power Plant Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Power Plant Specialist to join our team at Vertex Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing Organizational, Intermediate, and limited Depot level maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft, components, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on aircraft power plants, components, and equipment.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other employees as needed.
  • Maintain a high degree of expertise in aircraft systems, including fuel systems, engine level and bleed air components.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and repair of power plant systems, including replacing or repairing worn or damaged components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, planning documents, test specifications, and applicable safety manuals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance.
  • 2-3 years' experience on Gulfstream aircraft, with GIII series preferred (GIV considered).
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plants license required.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship, valid State Driver's License, and valid U.S. Passport required.
  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Ability to travel and obtain basic hand tools and toolbox within three months of hire.
Security Clearance:

Able to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance, with active clearance preferred.

Physical Demands:

This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50lbs.

Work Environment:

The diversity of working conditions ranges from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
