Stealth Technology and Survivability Engineer

Northrop Grumman is a leader in the development of stealth technology and survivability systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Principal Survivability Engineer.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented engineer with expertise in stealth technology and survivability systems to work on our cutting-edge projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electromagnetic theory, radar cross section reduction, and materials science. They will be responsible for designing and developing advanced materials and structures to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced materials and structures to reduce radar cross section and electromagnetic signature
  • Develop and implement radio frequency modeling and testing of complex classified targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize stealth goals and balance design requirements
  • Conduct analysis and testing to predict and verify performance of stealth systems
  • Develop and maintain proprietary analysis codes and tools
Requirements
  • Master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in stealth technology and survivability systems
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
  • Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, radar cross section reduction, and materials science
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
