Job Summary

Position: Patient Experience Representative

Please note that this role is located in Waltham, MA (free parking)

Hours: 8:30am-5:00 pm

Department: Orthopedics - Sports Medicine

Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (terms/taxes apply)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide positive and effective customer service to patients and families
  • Respond to routine inquiries about hospital protocol, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with referring providers and practices to facilitate management of complex patient issues
  • Collect and record patient demographics, insurance/payment, and referral information
  • Transcribe code and patient treatment information into a billing system
  • Coordinate patient encounters and procedures to optimize resource utilization and patient experience
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare rooms for examinations and provide assistance to patients according to established procedures and instructions
  • Monitor clinic activity to ensure the best possible patient experience
  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls
  • Maintain personal calendars for physician/supervisor(s)
