Patient Access Representative II

Conifer Health Solutions seeks a skilled Patient Access Representative II to support departmental efficiencies in our healthcare facilities. This role involves performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions, while ensuring complete and accurate patient demographic information.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers and provide world-class customer service, completing full patient registration at date of service.
- Adhere to financial and cash control policies and procedures, thoroughly explaining and securing hospital and patient legal forms.
- Scan protected health information, create and file patient information packets/folders for upcoming hospital services, and assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients about patient financial liabilities, employ proper and compliant patient liability collection techniques, and perform hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry.
- Secure medical necessity checks/verification, verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility, and complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-1 year in a customer service role.
- 0-1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
- Some college coursework is preferred.
