Job Title: Field Superintendent

The Field Superintendent is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all onsite construction activities. This includes ensuring a safe and clean jobsite, managing logistics, schedules, and day-to-day trade activities, as well as maintaining documentation and reporting to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and lead the effort to ensure a safe and clean jobsite, mitigating injuries and incidents by implementing Mid-State safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate all onsite construction activities, including scheduling, logistics, and day-to-day trade activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including daily reports, record drawings, and other project-related documents.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to review and understand the Owner contract and all Subcontractor exhibits, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
  • Manage change orders and extra work orders, maintaining documentation and communicating with the Project Manager to ensure correct execution.
  • Conduct regular subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and pre-construction meetings to maintain project schedule, progress, and a safe jobsite.
  • Manage the project close-out process, obtaining all necessary inspections and ensuring completion, signoff, and acceptance of the project punch list by the Owner and Project Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in the Power Generation industry.
  • Excellent diplomatic and communication skills, with the ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proven experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the construction industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Working Environment:

The Field Superintendent will work in a variable hourly position, with days and hours of work varying (Monday-Sunday, with some overnight work) and overtime frequently required. The working environment will be in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) and may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment/machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks.

The ideal candidate will be able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to themselves or others.
