Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled W78 Systems Engineer to join our team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. As a W78 Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expertise to ensure the safety, reliability, and security of our Nation's nuclear stockpile for the entire weapon life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting W78 system studies
  • Managing and directing product definition and specification maintenance
  • Overseeing activities in support of the W78 annual assessment

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Direct experience with system engineering and/or operational experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with nuclear weapon design and product realization
  • Experience with assembly practices, modeling, or analysis tools
  • Advanced degree in engineering or applicable science field

Work Environment:

The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Clearance: Q clearance is required for this position.
