Job Title: HPC Systems Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled HPC Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance computing systems to meet the company's computational requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of HPC systems to meet the company's computational requirements.
  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the HPC systems that support core organizational functions.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize HPC systems and software for improved performance and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategies for HPC data management, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their computational needs and provide solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in HPC technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to the HPC systems engineering team.
  • Ensure the security of our HPC systems by implementing robust security measures and maintaining the Security+ certification standards.
Requirements:
  • Active Department of Energy (DoE) Q Clearance or have held one in the past 3 years.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or relevant experience. A master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in HPC systems engineering, with a focus on Linux systems.
  • Proven experience with parallel computing, HPC clusters, job schedulers, and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • A Security+ certification with a deep understanding of security principles and how they apply to HPC environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex HPC issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest HPC technologies.
