Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Supervisor to lead our team of Sales Development Specialists. As a leading supplier to libraries and schools, Demco's Sales Development Specialists have a passion for supporting educators and librarians, which shines through as they build personal relationships and resolve customer issues.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, with a strong focus on sales strategy, customer experience, and team development. They will be responsible for setting the tone for each customer's first impression when they call Demco, leading the team in using conversational sales strategies, and coaching team members on selling skills.

The ideal candidate will have at least a two-year degree in a business-related field, with further education in sales, communication, marketing, and general business preferred. They will also have a minimum of three years of call center experience, with a minimum of two years of experience mentoring, training, or coaching.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Set the tone for each customer's first impression when they call Demco
  • Lead the team in using conversational sales strategies to learn about the customer and their issues, to recommend Demco solutions, and to enter quotes and orders received via phone
  • Coach team members on selling skills, such as questioning, listening, problem-solving, upselling & lead generation
  • Teach team members about our systems, find efficiencies, and eliminate errors
  • Measure output, monitor quality, and provide objective feedback
  • Share customer trends, identify obstacles, and create ideas
  • Ensure coworkers understand their customers' needs and all the services and solutions that Demco provides

What You'll Bring to Demco:

  • At least a two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Further education in sales, communication, marketing, and general business preferred
  • Minimum three years of call center experience
  • Minimum two years of experience mentoring, training, or coaching
  • Minimum three years of experience working in a sales environment
  • Minimum three years of experience handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and working under pressure
  • Strong PC knowledge, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • CRM experience
