Key Responsibilities


The Senior Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will:

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in alignment with established standards.
  • Conduct health assessments by gathering patient medical histories and current health status.
  • Identify patient and family needs, providing educational resources and support.
  • Offer psychosocial support to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage medication refill requests and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Coordinate consultations, diagnostic tests, and referrals for patients.
  • Triaging patient inquiries and documenting pertinent information.
  • Enhance communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Assist patients in accessing community resources.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs, LVNs, and medical assistants.
Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in oncology nursing is highly preferred.
  • A current RN state license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements


Physical demands include the ability to handle and lift patients, manual dexterity, and prolonged periods of standing and walking. The role may require lifting items up to 40 lbs and maintaining corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
