We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at a private automotive dealership in Warner Robins. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function and financial reporting for our dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an office staff of four and provide support to the owner on cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame.
  • Ensure all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection, and co-op advertising are current and accurate.
  • Interpret the financial statement and daily operating control (DOC) regularly and inform the dealer of developing trends.
  • Maintain an effective cash management system that forecasts cash funds and makes recommendations for the profitable use of excess cash.
  • Review the general ledger and scheduled accounts, as well as reconcile general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable.
  • Stay up-to-date on tax code revisions and advise the dealer on any operational adjustments needed to accommodate revisions.
  • Manage the dealership computer system to maximize utilization.
  • Prepare and process all insurance claims.
  • Continuously strive to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.

  • Must have a strong background in accounting and financial management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in dealership computer systems and software.
