About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Project Manager II to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for the profitable execution of assigned projects, working closely with owners, contractors, and branch installation managers to provide sales support activities early in the TAS and development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure assigned projects are completed accurately, on-time, billed, within budget, and within scope of the contract.
  • Maintain positive cash flow and actively pursue selling change orders.
  • Ensure work performed is compliant with state, local, and Federal legal requirements and operates with the highest ethics.
  • Adhere to and ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.
  • Responsible for following consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to travel, with travel varying on project assignment.
  • Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or an Associate's degree with equivalent work-related experience and a minimum of eight years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
  • Management experience with projects related to Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems is desired.
