About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. As a key member of our nursing unit, you will provide administrative and technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and leaders to develop and implement unit operations
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with patients and families
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign collection and medication administration
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements
  • Completion of an Acute Care CNA 2 course or equivalent education/experience
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare, preferably in a nursing unit or administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications, such as electronic medical records
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • National Certification in Health Unit Coordination or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a preceptor or role model in a healthcare setting
  • 1 year of experience as a CNA 2 or equivalent role
