About the RoleThe Hotel Assistant Manager oversees the front office staff and manages all functions of the Front Desk. Ensuring communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, or special requirements is a key responsibility. Monitoring employees' activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported, and guest needs are being met is also a critical aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Front Desk operations and act as the manager on duty in the hotel.
- Direct staff that performs the following duties and will also perform these duties on own: welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment.
- Assist with the talent acquisition, training, supervising, and performance management of the Front Office team.
- Assure that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follow up on credit problems with Front Desk Manager and/or Finance Management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of Supervisory or Assistant Management experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Previous Rooms Division/Front Office experience required. Multiple divisional experience preferred.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive knowledge of front office and housekeeping operations.
- Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of Opera preferred/is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests. Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and guest complaints.

Schedule & HoursThis is a full-time position, and you will be required to work a diverse schedule encompassing days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
