Job Summary: As a Field Property Claim Representative, you will be responsible for inspecting, investigating, and evaluating property claims from inception to close. You will provide excellent customer service, explain policy coverage and claim processes, and ensure compliance with company claim handling procedures and applicable department of insurance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and investigate property claims to determine cause and extent of damage
- Conduct thorough examinations of properties to assess damage and determine coverage
- Communicate with customers to provide updates and explanations of claim processes
- Work with contractors, vendors, and attorneys to resolve claims
- Make coverage decisions and negotiate settlements
- Maintain accurate records and reports of claim activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience adjusting property insurance claims with an emphasis on homeowners claims
- Experience with automated claim systems and thorough knowledge of Xactimate
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish speaking
- Bachelor's degree
