The Iowa Primary Care Association is in search of a committed and proficient outpatient Family Medicine Physician to enhance our healthcare team.

They provide an integrated approach to healthcare, combining medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to ensure patients receive holistic care, often within a single facility.

Position Highlights:

Clinic Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8 AM - 7 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM; Saturday: 8 AM - 12 PM
  • Your working hours: 40 hours within the specified clinic schedule.
  • No evening shifts required.

On-Call Duties: Rotates weekly among the provider team; phone consultations only.

Patient Care: Average of 16 patients per day.

Appointment Duration: 20 minutes each.

Team Composition: 1 Family Medicine Physician, 3 Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, 3 Physician Assistants, 1 Registered Nurse, and 1.5 Medical Assistants.

Electronic Health Records: Utilizes Epic system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient medical care to patients across all age groups.
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnose health conditions, and formulate treatment strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain precise and timely medical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine.
  • Possession of a valid state medical license.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Student Loan Repayment Programs: Eligible for up to $75,000 for 2 years of service, with an option for renewal. Additional $5,000 available for bilingual candidates.
  • Salary Range: Starting from $200,000 to $240,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Contract Duration: 2 years with an option for a 1-year renewal.
  • Professional Fees: Reimbursement for subscription and licensing costs.
  • Comprehensive Insurance Coverage: Includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short-term and long-term disability, and flexible spending options.
  • Employee Assistance Program: Access to confidential counseling and support services for personal and professional matters.
  • Continuing Education: 5 paid days and $2,000 annually for professional development.
  • Paid Time Off: 20 PTO days per year, plus 10 paid holidays and 3 sick days.
