We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at RSM US LLP. As a Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional tax services to our clients, leveraging your expertise in partnership taxation to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise clients on a full range of partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general transactional activities.
- Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members.
- Manage partnership client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
- Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Provide industry knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate with the U.S. team to develop and implement tax strategies.
- Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor, or coach to one or more employees, providing honest and constructive performance feedback.
- Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
- Work on multiple complex issues while communicating effectively with clients and the service team.
- Serve as the Tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients.
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Commerce or Accounts (B-Com/BBA & M-Com/MBA)
- Enrolled Agent in mandatory
- At least 7+ years of corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting experience, with a focus on partnership taxation
- Experience in public accounting, with at least 5+ years focusing on partnership taxation
- Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships, managing multiple projects and engagement teams
- Project management and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, with industry specialization
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters
- Experience with tax research tools and tax preparation technology
- Experience with partnership taxation, capital account analysis, and M&A implications related to PPA
