Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team at the State of Nebraska. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and disseminating informative messages about our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our marketing agency to develop and implement effective marketing strategies
  • Develop and maintain our website and social media presence
  • Plan and coordinate public information functions and activities
  • Research and determine the scope and target audience of our public information functions and activities
  • Write, design, and compose copy and layout for informational publications and media releases
  • Present and schedule presentations of public information to news media representatives and interested citizen groups
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, and at least one year of experience in coordinating, planning, and managing public relations/publicity campaigns, mass media communication activities, and/or public information programs.
